Company History

Benefit Management, Inc. (BMI) was founded by Dennis A. Call in 1995. Prior to starting BMI Mr. Call began his career in the insurance industry in 1972 where he worked as an agent selling group health and life insurance products throughout the Midwest. After 20 years of utilizing other insurance companies Mr. Call formed Benefit Management, Inc as a third party administrator specializing in group health and dental benefits on the premise that he would provide a better service at a better price.

President and CEO's Personal Commitment

I believe employers will continue to offer employee health care plans for the foreseeable future despite the ever increasing costs, added demands of government regulation and continuous compliance challenges.  I believe this because the cost of not-offering a group health plan is too high given the need for employers to attract and retain the best talent in what some consider a shrinking skills gap labor market.

Most businesses have excellent visibility and predictability on key cost drivers such as labor, raw materials, inventory, logistics, finance costs, etc.  Unfortunately, most businesses have very little visibility and predictability for costs incurred from their group employee health care plan.

As the cost of offering employee health care plans become a larger portion of a company’s operating budget, business leaders will seek out alternatives to better manage and mitigate this cost.

BMI helps employers every day by employing unique strategies to better manage their group employee health care plan expenses by providing access to data, analytical reporting tools assisted by a team of tenured industry professionals.  In addition BMI will continue to help employers navigate and manage the ever increasing demands of government regulation and compliance needs.

Finally, we are in the service industry.  The key word is “service”.  Our business has been and will continue to be built upon a foundation of great service.  We understand the client’s needs come first.  It is my personal commitment that BMI will provide the highest level of service.
